Who's Going

The campsite is limited to 4 per site. We have 2 sites booked so we are at the max of 8.

From Vancouver: Victor, Betsy, Cal

From Calgary: Kerry, Alayna, Todd, Ian, Sheldon.

If you lame out you are still responsible for the $23 fee unless you get someone to take your place.

Directions

 

If coming from Highway 97 north, turn right on 25th Avenue (main intersection downtown Vernon), park is 16 km or approximately 20 minutes from that junction. If coming from Highway 97 south, turn left on 25th Avenue (in Vernon), through Okanagan Landing Road, follow blue and white VIP signs saying Ellison Park.

Food /  Meal Plan

We can do HouseBoat/Kimberley style and plan meals.

If someone has an amazing breakfast planned then put your name down for it, otherwise I assume breakfasts will be simple. Put allergies down too.

We are not far from civilization so we can always go for grocery runs in Vernon or even eat in town or in Kelowna.

• Kelowna is just south. Lots of wineries around.
• Rent a boat for wake boarding?!   I will look into this and find out how much.

One car is allowed per site. Additional cars are $12/nt (half the campsite fee).

Total charged was $182 ($24/nt + $18x2 booking fee). That is $23/pp plus we'll split groceries and wood later.

 

Ellison Park Rules & Check-in info

Check-in - 1pm. Must arrive no later than 10pm. Please check information board / shelter for check-in procedures. No after hours check-in will be permitted as gate will be closed. You have until 11am on the day after your first reserved night to claim your campsite. Failure to cancel or arrive by the 11am deadline is considered a no-show and full reservation amount is non-refundable. If you arrive at the park with more people or vehicles than you reserved for, there may be additional fees or accommodation may not be available.

Pets: Pets are permitted however must be leashed at all times. Pets are not permitted on the beach.

Other: Gate opens daily from 7am - 11pm. Noise restrictions in effect from 10pm - 7am. Please note that only cash and Travellers cheques are accepted onsite. Mountain biking is not permitted. No boat access.

50' tent/camp-trail/M no hookups: A second vehicle (non-RV) may be allowed on site for an additional nightly charge of ½ the campsite fee to be paid in cash at the campground, on arrival.
